Here’s some preliminary sketches for the most recent Sporadikos comic. See the finished product here.

The first sketch I doodled at work when I first thought of the idea a few months ago.

Concepts for the other lesser characters. This was when I actually intended for the cowboy to appear in the comic. Also a scribble.

Rough of the comic. The cowboy is still there. I didn’t eliminate him until I realized I had written too much for the allotted space. Solution? Turn it into a joke about how I detested the cowboy idea to the point of not wanting to draw him. It’s like the old proverb says, “When Harrison Ford has dysentery, just have him shoot the swordsman.”
