Deleted Scene (From Sporadikos)
I was cleaning/organizing my bedroom when I came across the beginning of a Sporadikos comic script that I decided to give the axe. It was a Christmas-based one starring the Jungle Girl and the talking sloth.
He is the partially finished script:
The Jungle Girl and the sloth are decorating the treehouse for the Holidays.
GIRL
What’s you’re favorite Christmas movie?
SLOTH
“it’s a Wonderful Life”
GIRL
Typical
SLOTH
What’s yours?
GIRL
“Gremlins”
SLOTH
That’s not a Christmas movie!
GIRL
“Gremlin’s 2″ isn’t a christmas movie
SLOTH
When was the last time you saw “Gremlins?”
GIRL
Pre-Dinosaur, zombie-monkey, nuclear holocaust apocalypse
—and it cuts off here—
I think there was meant to be more after that, but I decided for (reasons I don’t entirely remember) to drop the whole thing. It may have been because the two characters only had one prior appearance and this being #2 didn’t seem right to me. Also, I may have not thought it was very good. Which explains why I’m posting it here rather than saving it for next year.
