It’s easily one of my favorite times of year.

Last time I posted here I was in a sort of Limbo.  It was partially due to the a computer failure and lack of access to creative tools that a computer provides– But there was more to it than that. I’ve been without a steady job for longer than I care to admit and though freelance work was picking up, it wasn’t quite paying the bills.

I’m glad to report an uncharacteristic wave of good luck has improved both these situations though. Though I suppose it’s unfair to credit luck alone when the generosity of others played a big part. I owe some money to those generous others for the new computer but that’s where the other bit of good fortune comes in. Of course if I want to go nuts, I guess I could cast luck aside on the job thing too. Dare I say that I got it because I’m actually pretty good at what I do. You may just have to permit me to say that as I’m not one who ordinarily boasts. Truthfully, I think my humbleness annoys some people. In either case, I don’t  want to credit luck. I’m grateful to those who support me and proud of what I can do. That’s the lesson I’ve learned from my time in Limbo.

Oh, and I promise to start posting pictures again.

Once again, my main computer has completely and utterly died with no warning. Luckily, I have an external drive that I backed nearly everything up on. The bad news is– being a 99.99999% digital artist– I’m sort of dead in my tracks until I can procure another one. There is somewhat of a plan for rectifying the problem, but it may or may not work out.

Technology is a harsh mistress. I just wish I could find a computer that would work as well as my VCR still does.

This one was a ton of fun to do. The theme really allowed me to go crazy.
